In an effort to make your visit both safe and enjoyable and to ensure that our property and wildlife are protected we ask that every camper comply with our rules. These rules and regulations are necessary to ensure that everyone will enjoy a great camping experience. Please make sure that everyone in your group abides by the rules for the fun and safety of all campers. Each camper, upon occupancy of a site/cabin, agrees to abide by these rules and regulations. Disregard for campground rules, or conduct deemed improper by management is cause for immediate eviction without notice or refund.

Check in time 3:00 p.m./Check out time 10:00 – if you wish to stay later please check with the office. If your site has not already been reserved, accommodations can be made.

There is NO SMOKING inside any of our cabins. Please smoke outside and dispose of butts in the cans provided.

Please do not move furniture in the cabins.

Speed limit 10 mph

No cutting of live trees

Idle speed only is to be used in the bay to avoid damage to docks and boats. Please stay to the right of the buoys when exiting the bay – DO NOT GO THROUGH THEM!

Quiet hours 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. – we don’t care how late you stay up or how early you rise but keep noise levels down and have consideration for other campers. Exceptions to this rule will be made (within reason) on long weekends when the majority of the campground is involved. During quiet hours children 16 and under are to be in the presence of their parent(s) either on their own site or another campers – NOT IN COMMON AREAS.

Everyone pays for their own area and deserves the right to enjoy it. Children/Adults are not to cross through other people’s property, including around vehicles, greenspace, decks, etc.

The perimeter roadways and roads into bays are considered common areas and should not be blocked at any time.

Campfires are allowed in firepits only. Do not leave fires unattended. Do not throw unburnable garbage or food in the firepits. There is no curfew for when your fire has to be out; however, you must ensure that your fire is fully extinguished before retiring for the night, and remember quiet hours.

Pets are welcome but must be leashed at all times (Samson, Tucker & Sylvester are the exception). Pets may not be left unattended and must be picked up after.  Dogs are not permitted to swim at the boat launch (swim area) between noon and 5 p.m. if there are others down there. Anywhere else at the waterfront is find.  Please have consideration for your neighbours and the rest of the campground.

Please supervise or frequently check on children playing in the play area. Young children must be supervised by an adult. Older children should not be using equipment they are too big for. If children are caught disrespecting or damaging property, they will not be welcome to use the area. Parents will be responsible for replacing damaged items.

Water activities are AT YOUR OWN RISK. Children 12 yrs and under must be accompanied by an adult. The river can be high and fast flowing at times – BE CAREFUL!

Glass is not allowed in the swimming areas – accidents happen, causing broken glass to float into our swimming area. As well, if you smoke at the swimming area please discard your butts in an empty can so that we can avoid them floating into the water.

People appreciate a clean restroom, please don’t make a mess in the public washrooms or showers. Please accompany and supervise young children using these facilities.

Please put all trash in sealed garbage bags and dispose of in the garbage shed in the parking lot.

Quads may only be used by licensed drivers to go from your site to the waterfront and back, or from your site down the road; there is no other riding permitted on the property.

There are three ways down to the waterfront, the boat launch hill, the stairs to the fish cleaning house, and the stairs by Cabin 8 – DO NOT USE ANY OTHER WAY.

The Fish Cleaning House is at the waterfront and has a sign on it. It is for the use of all guests and campers. Please keep this area clean and ensure door is closed and lights are off before leaving.

Firearms are permitted during hunting season. They must be locked in a case and rendered incapable of use. No discharging of firearms or arrows is allowed within the campground.

Please report any needed repairs to the office immediately.

Before leaving, please be sure you haven’t left any personal items behind.

The campground is not responsible for injury or damage due to wind, water, fire, or the negligence of you or others.

For your comfort and convenience we will not go through your cabin during your stay unless requested. All cabins are stocked with bedding, dish clothes, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. If there is anything not stocked or that you require more of in your cabin, or if laundry service is required during your stay, please let us know.

There is currently no slot size on Shebandowan Lake, but we do ask that if you do keep fish to eat or take home that they be a minimum of 13” or greater. This is a small step to ensuring that our resources can be passed down for generations to come. We promote catch and release and ask that you abide by the OMNR Fishing Regulations and limits at all times.

Poaching will not be tolerated.

Office Hours – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. We are not always at the office but when we’re not we normally leave a walkie-talkie in the mailbox that you can call us on.
